NRP to Host Three Workshops in September

In an effort to help neighborhood organizations build capacity as well as to help them better manage their NRP activities and responsibilities, the NRP hosts several valuable workshops each year. Below you will find information on three such workshops that will be held in September.

Wednesday, Sept. 22 - 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Community Power Vote
Presented by Sharon Haas of the Metropolitan Alliance of Community Centers (MACC), this workshop will introduce you to a citizen engagement resource developed by MACC called the Community Power Vote kit. The kit contains several tools aimed at helping with voter education and get out the vote efforts. One kit will be given to each neighborhood organization with a representative in attendance.

Neighborhoods all over the city have developed some great fundraising activities, including raffles, sales, dances, direct mail, memberships, wine tastings, and other appeals. This panel discussion will focus on some of the successful techniques that Minneapolis neighborhood organizations have implemented

Wednesday, Sept. 29 - 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Board and Financial Management
