Minneapolis Public Schools Summer Food Service Program

July 2, 2007 - Each summer thousands of Minnesota students lose access to the free or reduced cost meals they receive during the school year. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) addresses this problem by providing funds for schools and other organizations to serve free, nutritious meals and snacks when school is not in session.

The Minneapolis Public Schools Food Service Department sponsors The Summer Food Service Program in Minneapolis schools, parks, and community sites. The Program is paid for with federal dollars available from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Meals served through the Summer Food Program are free to all children ages 1-18 at all sites listed in Minneapolis, regardless of place of residence. Meal service dates and times are subject to change, so please check back often.

NOTE: Meals will not be served at any sites from July 2-6.

The link below will guide you to available sites in Minneapolis. Before attending a site, it is best to call for specific information because the times and meals provided may vary and there will probably be some changes in the weeks ahead.

Anyone without Internet access can call the United Way's statewide "2-1-1" information line.
